Honest answers to fair questions
Does it actually work, or is it just placebo?
The best study to date (Kisker et al., 2024) found people felt significantly less stressed after three weeks of regular use — at a subjective level, and specifically not a physiological one. So: you may well feel calmer; whether a machine would detect it is a different question. We’re not going to claim we rewire your biology. And subjective is the one kind of evidence you can check yourself — in about ninety seconds, without trusting us.
Does it hurt?
The first couple of minutes are sharp — then your body lets go. Start with a thin t-shirt and five minutes, and work down to bare skin as you adapt. The sleep mask and heated wrap have no “ouch” phase at all.
How fast will I feel something?
Most people feel the turn within the first session, somewhere around the three-to-five-minute mark. Whether it changes your sleep is a longer question and depends on the person — which is what the sixty nights are for.
I don’t have twenty minutes to lie on the floor.
Ten is plenty, and you can stop whenever you like. If it helps: most people who use one regularly say the reason it works for them isn’t the mat, it’s that a physical object on the floor with ten minutes running is the one form of “I’m unavailable” nobody in the house argues with. That’s allowed to be the reason you buy it.
How often should I use it?
Ten to twenty minutes a day is plenty. Before bed, after work, or with your morning coffee. There’s no schedule and nothing to keep a streak on.
Will I get used to it and it’ll stop working?
Some people report the sensation dulling with daily use. Skip a day or two, or rotate with weight or heat instead. We’d rather tell you now than have you find out in week three.
Getting off it — is that the bad part?
Honestly, a bit. Sitting up takes a second. It passes straight away.
My skin is sensitive, or I’m worried I’ll hurt myself.
Start over a t-shirt. The points are blunt and they don’t break skin, but if you have fragile skin, are on blood thinners, or are pregnant, check with your doctor first.
Can my partner use it too?
Yes. Unlike a weighted blanket, it isn’t sized to one body — it just needs a wipe down.
How is this different from the weighted blanket I already own?
It doesn’t trap heat, there are no beads to bunch up, and it comes off the bed in one movement. If your blanket felt more like being pinned down than held, this is the opposite kind of input — brief, loud, and entirely under your control.
Why isn’t it on sale?
Because it wasn’t ever a different price. There’s one price, $79, and no “was” price to strike through. In a category that’s permanently discounted from numbers nobody ever paid, we think that’s worth stating plainly.
Why don’t you have any reviews?
We’re new, so not yet. When they appear here they’ll be from people who bought something — unedited, including the unflattering ones.
Where do you ship from, and how long?
Queensland, Australia. Metro deliveries usually land within a few business days; regional and WA can take longer. Free over $75.
